The purpose of use: Monitoring and mass trapping
Monitoring
-Delta trap, funnel trap, water trap, black sticky card trap can be used.
-Put 1 tomato leaf miner pheromone lure per trap.
-Trap density: 2-4 trap/ha. Preferably it can be put one in the centre and the other one in the border in the crop. In the greenhouse, put a trap every 500 m2, put at least one trap per greenhouse.
-Install the traps at the beginning of the growing or before replanting. Put the traps on the ground or low height (20-60 cm). The delta traps must be installed with the aperture facing the main regional winds. Water should be put inside the funnel traps.
-The traps must be checked on a daily basis, and after the first adults have been captured, the traps must be checked every week. Captured insects are removed from traps. The delta trap sticky cardboard is replaced when the number of captures is really high of when the sticky cardboard becomes really dirty from the dust.
-Trap should be kept for 2-3 weeks after harvest.
Mass trapping
-Water trap is used. Trap is placed at ground-level or on a box, at no more than 30 cm.
-Trap density: 20-40 trap/ha. Traps placed at regular intervals inside the crop and its borders.
-In the greenhouse, put a trap every 300 to 500 m2.
-Additionally, you can supplement the mass trapping with phytosanitary products.
