The purpose of use:Monitoring and mass trapping
Monitoring
-Delta trap or funnel trap can be used.
-Put 1 beet armyworm pheromone lure per trap.
-Trap density: 2-4 trap/ha.
-Install the traps at the beginning of the growing.
-The traps must be placed 1.5 m above the ground.
-The delta traps must be installed with the aperture facing the main regional winds. Water should be put inside the funnel traps.
-The traps must be checked on a daily basis, and after the first adults have been captured, the traps must be checked every week. Captured insects are removed from traps. The delta trap sticky cardboard is replaced when the number of captures is really high of when the sticky cardboard becomes really dirty from the dust.
-Traps should be kept for 2-3 weeks after harvest.
Mass trapping
-Funnel trap can be used. The traps must be placed 1.5 m above the ground.
-Trap density: 8-10 trap/ha. Traps placed at regular intervals inside the crop and its borders.
